Mosquito's diet does not consist only of blood (and as we all know - only female mosquitoes bite). Actually, most of their diet consists of nectar. The females need the blood to produce healthy eggs.

| Mosquitoes:
Mosquitoes are attracted by carbon dioxide. Not only they sense it, but they sense other chemicals in the carbon dioxide which are actually called carbon dioxide signature(and can be used as a fingerprint to identify people!). Depending on your carbon dioxide signature, mosquitoes will like you more or less as a blood donor than other people.
